Changing the max latency for the virtual ASIO drivers changes nothing, I've tried setting it to 7168, but that did nothing. Any other input device sounds fine, like anything retrieved from the ASIO inputs from the soundcard, or the microphone connected to the motherboard. Using WDM mode is completely broken, the sound is completely unusable. Having the buffer-size at 1024 on ASIO is already to high. This solution is not one I can use, since I need low latency. It behaves the same with the MME driver, where it can be fixed by setting the buffer-size higher. It's as if Voicemeeter needs to go higher than 1024 buffering, but it can't since that's the maximum for ASIO. Trying to set the buffer-size higher reduces the problem, but it doesn't remove it completely. The sound from any virtual input will crackle and pop frequently. Using the 2i2 as A1 output wont work correctly in any mode. It seems like no one has the same issues I do, or those that do, haven't found a solution. It just will not work correctly, and I can't find any way to solve it by searching the net. That was until I got a sound card, the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (2nd gen). If you wish to monitor your incoming signal before recording (to check levels etc.I've used Voicemeeter for some time, and it has worked perfectly fine. If you wish to monitor your incoming signal before recording (to check levels etc., switch on Input Monitoring and record enable the track If you are connected to the second input, select right If you have a mono track and your microphone, guitar, bass etc connected to input 1 of the interface, ensure you have the left input selected. You can select a Mono track (one input on the interface) or a Stereo track (this will use both inputs of the interface at the same time on the same track). You can set up the Inputs and Outputs here either by using the options under the PRESETS menu or by manually setting up the routing yourself by using the ADD BUS feature.Ĭlick Project > Add Track > Audioto create the track you will be recording onto.

To modify this go back to the STUDIO drop-down menu and select AUDIO CONNECTIONS (*Older versions of Cubase will list this as VST Connections). If the State of the IO setup shows Inactive, Cubase will not receive a signal from your Focusrite interface. Make sure all of the inputs and outputs for your device are Visible and that they are listed as Active. Next, select your device below VST Audio System and here is where you can check Cubase's IO (Input & Output) for your Focusrite interface. If you are using Mac click on V ST Audio System > then select the device in the audio device list
